Sessions occur one - tw0 hours before sunset, when the sun is low enough in the sky to create soft, even lighting.   On a cloudy or overcast day, we may start our session earlier, but these situations will be handled case by case. 

If you're worried about the session being too late for your little ones, I totally understand! I often suggest either (1) adding in an extra nap, or adjusting naps or (2) scheduling a session in spring or fall when the sun is setting earlier or (3) schedule an in home or in studio session we can complete midday. 

Standalone sessions require a 50% nonrefundable retainer and signed contract to lock in your session for that date. The remaining balance is due the day before your session by 9pm. 

Bundles require a 25% nonrefundable retainer and signed contract to lock in your session. You future payments will be split evenly between your remaining sessions and due the day before each session. Payment plans are available. All payments must be in by 9pm the day before your last scheduled session of your bundle.

I can promise you I've got your covered when it comes to your wild littles ones! We'll get the shot! Even if they can't sit still for five minutes or they only want to be held by mom, we will make it happen. Even if you tell me they are the exception, I promise you, I'm pretty good with kids. Even my toughest little companions have cracked and given me a smile or two.

I think the look and feel of a portrait with sun is far superior then when there are clouds. With that said, if my schedule allows for us to reschedule for a sunnier day I will offer that to you.

On the flip side, if I feel the weather is going to negatively impact the final quality of your images, we will reschedule. I have set weather makeup dates in my schedule; try to be flexible on reschedules especially during the fall season.

All my sessions carry a relaxed, storytelling vibe, which is why I love lifestyle newborn sessions. 

I love to focus on the connection between you and your new baby while incorporating elements of your home that make each session unique and special. All the little sweet details, like their eyelashes, tiny little feet or their adorable little rolls. These are the photos I treasure of my babies and the ones you will forever treasure of yours. 

I do bring some newborn blankets, bows, swaddle wraps and baskets to utilize during your session.
All sessions use natural window light. If you do not want to photograph in your home or are worried about lighting, I have a list of  studios that are fantastic for indoor newborn sessions. 

Sessions generally take 2-3 weeks to complete. However during busier months, like fall, sessions may take closer to 3-4 weeks.

Some galleries may take a little longer, such as newborn sessions, extended family, etc. If I will need some extra time, I will keep you in the loop.

I hear a lot, "my kid(s) can only handle a short mini session," but I have found that kids often do so much better during a longer storyteller session. Getting time to explore, connect with the environment, get to know the photographer are just a few perks at a longer session. Often times, at the end of a mini, my kiddo clients are starting to really open up and showcase their personality. Also... I love giving my clients the full experience; like,  getting to know your family, finding out what works best for your kid(s) capturing a gallery complete with the sweet little details, just to name a few.
