With Mother’s Day right around the corner, now is the perfect time to book a special Mommy + Me session with your little loves.

Hi there, if you’re new, I’m Shelby, a family and motherhood photographer from Columbus, Ohio. My focus is on capturing everyday life, love, and joy. My goal is to help you feel your best, have some laughs, connect with your loved ones, and just be yourself. I create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for photos, valuing the deeper connections within your family.

Moms, let’s talk. When was the last time you were in a photo with your kids ( and no, not a selfie – or your husband’s sweet attempt where the angles are just all wrong)? When did you last see a photo of you with the kids and feel beautiful? When was the last time your motherhood journey was captured with all the hugs, cuddles, and kisses, and little things that are special to you?

I have to admit, I’m not great at documenting my own family. When I’m not capturing beautiful moments for others, I love being present in the moment. Luckily, my husbands pretty skilled at using my camera! But do you ever feel like if you don’t do it, no one else will? So, what’s holding you back?

Are you worried your kids will be walking, talking chaos at your session? First off, EMBRACE IT! Also, I am really good with kids. Even if you think your toddler is some magical creature that you swear will give me a run for my money. Promise, they’ll love me! At every session I send out a questionnaire that helps me get to know your wild little ones; it’s my way of working in ways to connect with them. I’ll sing, dance, tell jokes, honestly, whatever’s necessary to get a smile!

Is it planning the sessions, the outfits, the time, the location? Guess what, that’s why I’m here! Need help planning your outfits? I’ve got you covered with suggestions, including color guides and places to shop, plus a few wardrobe pieces you’re more than welcome to borrow! Need help planning the session? Hey, it’s my job to help! I’ll provide you with all the planning tools and tips you need, plus location suggestions and the best time to shoot.

Or is it, you just haven’t felt like yourself in so long. This is probably your sign that it is the perfect time to schedule the session. I’d love to spoil you and capture beautiful memories with you babies. But let’s be honest, in 10-20 years when your kids are grown, they’re going to treasure the love, joy and the connections captured in the picture with you, mom. And you will too!

Bottom line. We’re all doing our best and flying by the seat of our pants! So, listen up: there’s no need to stress, the little details will work themselves out. Do this for you! Do it for them!
